One of the year’s standout achievements came with CJ ENM’s global hit drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. The series reimagines the time-slip romantic comedy genre by blending contemporary humor with historical intrigue, while weaving Korean royal cuisine and French gastronomy into its emotional and narrative core. The strong chemistry between the two lead characters anchors the story with warmth and depth, complemented by polished visuals and cinematic food sequences that enhance its global appeal. Globally, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has demonstrated exceptional reach through Netflix, becoming the first TV series to rank number one on Netflix’s global non-English TV chart for two consecutive weeks and remaining in the chart for ten straight weeks.

Additional momentum came from CJ ENM dramas such as Typhoon Family and Dear X, both of which generated strong buzz across global markets and further reinforced the company’s storytelling reach in 2025. The two series attracted international viewers with compelling narratives and high production values, while also drawing widespread attention for the standout performances of their lead casts. Typhoon Family, featuring a star-studded ensemble and emotionally driven storytelling, captured global audiences’ attention and entered the Netflix global top 10 (non-English TV) for four weeks. Meanwhile, Dear X, a TVING original, delivered strong global results across multiple platforms. On Rakuten Viki, the show ranked number one weekly across the Americas, Europe and Oceania, while also reaching number one on Disney+ Japan and STARZPLAY in parts of the MENA region, according to FlixPatrol. On HBO Max, the series became one of the top-performing Asian titles across 17 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, including Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Further recognition came through CJ ENM’s youth-driven and genre-blending series Study Group and Head Over Heels, both of which received major honors at the2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards. The TVING original Study Group won best original production by a streamer (fiction), standing out for its energetic mix of action, comedy and coming-of-age storytelling centered on a student navigating a violent school environment while striving for academic success. CJ ENM’s non-scripted slate also gained international recognition with Couple Palace 2, which made history at the 2025 Venice TV Awards by winning gold—the first time a Korean entertainment format achieved this honor. The large-scale reality dating project, featuring 100 singles searching for their life partners in an elaborate matchmaking setting, drew attention for its ambitious format and strong global appeal. The win marked a milestone for Korean unscripted content on the global stage and reinforced CJ ENM’s growing influence in exporting high-concept reality formats worldwide.
CJ ENM’s format development efforts were further recognized with its large-scale co-production game show Infinite Loop, created in partnership with Japan’s TBS, which was nominated for best studio-based game-show format at the International Format Awards 2025.
